Throughout the last week, Talon Esports has revealed all of the League of Legends players of its new roster. The team will compete in the 2020 Pacific Championship Series (PCS). However, the coaches were not revealed until today. Now, we finally know the coaching staff of Talon Esports.

The head coach of Talon Esports

Seo “BigFafa” Min-seok is the former coach of Challengers Korea’s Team Dynamics. Bigfafa stepped down from his role as head coach of the team following its disappointing performance in the LCK 2020 Spring Promotion match. In his time as a coach for Team Dynamics, he managed to lead the team to the 1st place in the Challengers Korea 2019 Summer split. Before his time in Korea, BigFafa spent his time coaching team MEGA in the League of Legends SEA Tour (LST). That team managed to win both the LST Spring 2019 split and the LST 2019 Spring Thailand National Minor events.

Between his career in League of Legends coaching, BigFafa spent 2018 as a coach for PUBG. In this time, he coached both the Korean organization MVP and the Chinese organization 17 Gaming. He would return to coaching League in March of 2019.

Saroo becomes the new assistant coach

Lee “Saroo” Jong-won has coached League of Legends since Jan. 2016. Throughout the years, Saroo has lacked the big success coaches dream about. The most prominent team Saroo has had the opportunity to coach was MVP, from Nov. 2016 to Nov. 2018. In this time, MVP failed to find the success that roster deserved. They finished both LCK 2018 Spring and LCK 2018 Summer in 9th place (out of 10) and so had to defend their spot in the League twice.

While they managed to defend their spot in 2018, they ended up losing to Team BattleComics, who later rebranded to Sandbox Gaming. This new opportunity for Saroo with Talon Esports is his shot at redemption and a chance to help lead the PCS team to the top of the region.
