The inaugural North American Valorant Masters tournament is just days away and Riot Games has announced its lineup of broadcast talent. The crew is a mixture of the usual Riot talent, along with some of the up-and-coming casters and analysts that have cut their teeth on the new title.
The event will be a culmination of the past few weeks of Challengers events in the region. The tournament will kick off March 11 and the broadcast will conclude with the grand finals on March 21.
Caster lineup
The caster talent lineup for the event includes Valorant and Counter Strike duo Daniel “ddk” Kapadia and Sean Gares. The two have casted many of the high profile North American finals, most notably the grand finals of First Strike.
Joining the broadcast talent lineup will be Riot journeyman Rivington “RivingtonThe3rd” Bisland III and relative casting newcomer Doug “EsportsDoug” Cortez. EsportsDoug was relatively unknown before casting Valorant in the Nerd Street Gamers ran Challenger Series and Ignition Series events.
Analyst Lineup
On the analytical side, Counter Stirke veterans Mark “boq” Wilson and Alex “Vansilli” Nguyen will be part of the broadcast talent lineup. The two have been analyzing and casting the region since the game’s beta days. Christine “potter” Chi, who has a storied career in Counter Strike, will be on the desk as well. Most recently, she has been working with Evil Geniuses as an IGL for its Valorant squad.
Another part of the analyst talent lineup will be Loviel “Velly” Cardwell, a veteran Rainbow Six Siege analyst, who was last seen at First Strike. Rounding out the talent cast is Sue “Smix” Lee who will presumably be an interviewer for the event in a similar fashion to her First Strike appearance.
Unlike the previous Challengers events, Masters will have an analyst desk for each commentator to break down the most recent matches and build up narratives for those to come.
