Spider-Man 2 is coming to PlayStation 5 on October 20 and fans are getting antsy after seeing the good reviews on Metacritic and beyond.

Spider-Man 2 is an action adventure game, featuring Peter Parker and Miles Morales teaming up to fight baddies including Kraven the Hunter and his private militia, Lizard, Sandman, and Venom. After enjoying the first game, gamers are anxiously awaiting Spider-Man 2’s arrival.

Spider-Man 2 Metacritic score: 91

Right now, Spider-Man 2 has a metacritic score of 91, which is quite high. There are currently 122 critic reviews, including major sites like IGN. Here are some notable reviews on Metacritic.

GamesHub gave Spider-Man 2 a 100, claiming it’s better than the high expectations people have for it. GGRecon, who also gave it a 100, marveled at its dynamic map traveling, twisty story, and fluid combat, stating that they smiled throughout their playtesting.

One IGN review added: “After a tremendous introduction to the superhero lives of Peter Parker and Miles Morales on PS4, Insomniac Games has crafted an even better adventure that showcases the true power of PS5 hardware. A game that is streamlined, ambitious, emotional, and showcases the true potential of the superhero genre in a gaming medium.”

The score? A 100. Twinfinite, The Loadout, Screen Rant, and PlayStation Universe also gave Spider-Man 2 a 100.

It’s safe to say that Spider-Man 2 is looking very promising. We won’t know what the full game has in store for fans until it comes out later this week, but fans are definitely expecting something brilliant at this point.
