Philipp Samuel “Lilipp” Englert has been benched from MAD Lions Madrid and Tore “Tore” Hoel Eilertsen will compete in his place after holding the inactive support role at MAD Lions since the start of the split, sources close told Upcomer on Monday.

Tore replaces Lilipp on MAD Lions Madrid

The player from Norway will be the new support of the Lions Academy until the end of the spring split. He already played with the MAD Lions Academy team during the previous 2021 season, but he is a player with great experience in European competition. Tore was formerly known as Norskeren.

In 2017 he competed with Schalke 04. The following year he signed for Roccat and competed a whole year with the now defunct League Of Legends team, but it was not until 2019 with his entry in Splyce where Tore reached his maximum competitive achievement. Tore qualified to the LoL Worlds 2019 in the last European place and reached the quarterfinals, ultimately losing 1:3 against the great SKT T1. He then moved on to play with Excel Esports until May of 2021.

On the other hand, Lilipp was also a player who came with experience playing in LEC, but he has had a much shorter career than Tore. The German player moved up to the main team of SK Gaming in the middle of the summer split 2021, as he was previously the support of the academy roster. Lilipp made a great performance as a rookie and improved SK’s results at that time, but finally signed for the Mad Lions Academy in 2022.
