Zachary “SFAT” Cordoni won Super Smash Bros. Melee Singles at I Dair You! on January 24. It marked his third tournament victory in the past two weeks, as well as his fourth consecutive top 2 finish.

SFAT kicked off his run with predictable 2-0 victories over Juan “Baja” Miranda and Danny “Snap” Abizeid. However, he faced greater opposition throughout the rest of his pools matches. SFAT managed to beat Thomas “Pappi” Perez 2-1 and John “KoDoRiN” Ko 3-2 in order to advance into top 8.

Though he had some last-game matches in pools, SFAT won his first top 8 sets much more convincingly. Neither Ben Strandmark nor Dawud “Aklo” Rahman managed to take a game off of him. SFAT concluded his I Dair You! run with a 3-2 victory over the West Coast’s highest-seeded player, Jeffrey “Axe” Williamson.
