It was another wild few days in the Rocket League Championship Series scene and it looks like we’re not even done yet! Multiple gargantuan roster moves happened since our last RLCS roster recap, with some rumours confirmed and others coming out of left field. Let’s take a look.
Kaydop trades Dignitas for Renault Vitality
As rumoured, Kaydop leaves the best team in Rocket League history to join close friend Victor “Fairy Peak” Locquet and Kyle “Scrub Killa” Robertson. On paper, this is a team to watch out for. The last time Kaydop and Fairy Peak teamed up together, they reached the RLCS Grand Final alongside David “Miztik” Lawrie. Incidentally, he, like Scrub Killa, is also a Scotsman. Is this a sign, then, that we’ll see them on the grandest of stages soon once more?
Yukeo joins Dignitas
Also rumoured and now confirmed is the transfer of Maurice “Yukeo” Weihs from Flipsid3 Tactics to Dignitas. He was picked up almost exactly a year ago by Miztik and Francesco “Kuxir97” Cinquemani as a newcomer on the scene. He has since proved his amazing potential and grew into a star player. With Dignitas he is looking to elevate his game to even higher standards. While this is a good move for him, it’s a shame we won’t get to see what Flipsid3 could have done in the coming RLCS season now that the team clicked so well.
Drippay makes first ever cross-region transfer
As we reported previously, Matthew “Drippay” Den-Kaat did indeed leave the Oceanic region to join NA’s Evil Geniuses. This marks the first ever transfer of a Rocket League Championship Series player between regions, though it is rumoured it is not the last. Who that rumour might involve, however, is unknown. All we have is a cryptic tweet from Cameron “CJCJ” Johns.

Speed to F3?
While there has been no roster move announcement made, Jack “Speed” Packwood-Clarke is currently signed up for the open qualifiers for DreamHack Leipzig with F3. He is still signed with Red Reserve at the moment, who managed to qualify for RLCS for the first time this season. F3 did state on Twitter that Speed is a temporary stand-in for the weekend of WSOE as well, where they will play for a $100K prize pool in Las Vegas. F3’s manager tweeted a picture of their new third, which showed incredibly similar stats to Yukeo’s. He refused to confirm who the player in question was, but it seems likely that the tournament will serve as a tryout for Speed.

If Speed does indeed leave RR to join F3, then that would leave…
Kassio’s RLCS debut with Red Reserve?
Andy “Kassio” Landais plays for Method in the lower-division Rocket League Rival Series. However, with Speed’s move to Flipsid3, Kassio is signed up for the DH Leipzig qualifiers with RR. This move is also unsurprising, considering Kassio has already played with RR’s Aldin “Ronaky” Hodzic before. Whereas Euan “Tadpole” Ingram replaced him last time on the team, it now looks like he will be playing alongside him. Should this team stick together for RLCS as well, it would mean Kassio’s debut alongside his new teammates.
Savage to be picked up by FC Barcelona Esports?
We’ve long awaited to see who will sign the team Savage. Comprised of two returning veterans and one newcomer after dominating the RLRS, they easily made their way up to RLCS. The only thing still left is an organisation to sign them. Enter Niels “Nielskoek” Kok and his girlfriend April “alfa2zulu,” who spoke of the signing while streaming on Twitch. Either they acted particularly well, or they leaked that Savage is about to be picked up by FC Barcelona Esports. Nielskoek laughs it off. “Oh well, I’m sure they’ll reveal it soon,” he said. A Twitch clip is not available, but the fragment was rehosted on streamable.
Flakes to CompLexity?
We’re getting into RLRS territory here, but CompLexity is high-profile enough to report on, we’d say. It’s unfortunate this team fell down a division but it can’t be denied it was their own fault. Dropping a perfectly good player backfired and sent them from the RLCS. Now, with Linus “Al0t” Möllergren having left the team to rejoin the RLCS with mousesports, they are missing a third.
Interestingly, they are signed up for DH Leipzig with Hrant “Flakes” Yakoub, the Dutchman who recently reminded us of his potential in the Mannfield Night 5K. And while a 1v1 tournament is vastly different from 3v3, Flakes is known to be a strong 3s player as well. Having been picked up by an RLRS team that is expected to finish top two would be a good step for him.
