Respawn is launching Apex Legends Mobile to a limited number of countries on March 7, according to the studio. Players from 10 different countries will be able to play this version of the battle royale until the Spring.

This limited launch had to be shifted due to the conflict in Ukraine, according to a tweet by the studio.

“Due to current world events, we made the decision to shift the limited regional launch of Apex Legends Mobile,” Respawn tweeted on Monday. “Our intention is to now release the game to participating countries on March 7.”

Apex Legends Mobile is coming to parts of Asia, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand

“This next phase will see Apex Legends Mobile go into limited release in 10 countries so we can continue our work on in-game systems, features, and more prior to launch,” reads a post on the official Apex Legends site.

The countries included in Apex Legends Mobile limited launch on Android and iOS are: Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina and Colombia. If you live in one of these countries you can pre-register to take part in the limited launch now.

This limited build won’t include everything that Apex Legends Mobile will have on its full launch. Players will be able to play as Bloodhound, Gibraltar, Lifeline, Wraith, Bangalore, Octane, Mirage, Pathfinder, and Caustic during the limited launch.

Players in those select countries will be able to download the game directly from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. You will not need to side load it using a third-party application like TestFlight. Apex Legends Mobile will not be cross platform with consoles or PC. Those looking to play the limited launch version will also need to have either an iOS device with more than two GB of RAM or an Android device with more than three GB of RAM.

An official full release date for Apex Legends Mobile is not available yet, according to Respawn.

“We’ll be sharing updates on global launch once we’ve made informed decisions coming out of the limited regional launch,” the studio’s announcement read. Check out the official Apex Legends site to see if your mobile device will be able to handle Apex Legends Mobile.

The Apex Legends Global Series was also delayed due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Many pro players live in cities like Kyiv, where explosions are going off right outside their front doors.
