PUBG Mobile has introduced seven regions to its Pro League circuit and teased a new world-class tournament.
The new participating regions include North America, Arabia, Brazil, the Commonwealth of Independent States, Western Europe, Latin America and Turkey.
PUBG Mobile Pro League expands its reach
“With the introduction of seven new leagues to the PMPL in 2021, PUBG MOBILE cements its position as one of the most diverse and largest mobile esports programs in the world,” the announcement stated.
In terms of what’s at stake, the PUBG Mobile program for esports boasted a total prize pool of $14,000,000 for 2021.
The PUBG Mobile Pro League includes four regional championships. These include the Americas Championship, Southeast Asia Championship, South Asia Championship and Europe, Middle East and Africa Championship.
While the Americas and Europe, Middle East and Africa Championships will occur in June, the other two regions will have them in May.
Since 2018, PUBG Mobile has expanded its competitive scene, starting with grassroots events. From there, the pro circuit was created and the PUBG Mobile Club Open tournaments expanded to 27 regions.
Competitive players now continue to parachute down into different maps, locate supplies and use weapons to take down their opponents.
A PUBG Mobile world-class tournament
Alongside this announcement, the PUBG Mobile also teased its upcoming world-class tournament. This event will occur over the summer, allowing the top teams from all regions to duke it out against each other.
The esport stated that more details about this new tournament will be revealed in the next two months.
