Current TSM League of Legends mid laner Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage announced on Wednesday that he is exploring opportunities in both North American and Europe for the 2022 season.
Earlier this year, sources revealed that Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg was looking to step out of retirement and play professionally again. Bjergsen played for TSM for the majority of his career, and when he retired, he moved to the head coach role while the team brought in PowerOfEvil to replace him. While with TSM, PowerOfEvil brought TSM close to victory by placing third overall in spring of 2021 and fourth in the summer. Neither performance quite lined up with what TSM expected with Bjergsen on the roster.
PowerOfEvil announced on Twitter that he was still in discussions with TSM but that he would be exploring his options for 2022. Additionally, he revealed no buyout of his contract would be necessary.

“Still in discussions with @TSM I am exploring options for 2022 NA and EU – no buyout,” PowerOfEvil said on Twitter.
Bjergsen could return to his throne
Now that PowerOfEvil is looking for opportunities outside of TSM and Bjergsen is looking to return to his former glory, there is a chance that Bjergsen reclaims his position as the TSM mid laner. The current TSM head coach has not mentioned anything on social media about his potential return to TSM, however.
Meanwhile, PowerOfEvil has a long history in the League of Legends Championship Series and European Championship. He could return to his native region, Europe, like many others have before him. Additionally, he could look to join a new team and have a roster built around him. Teams like Evil Geniuses, CLG and Dignitas all could have potential open slots in the mid lane that PowerOfEvil could fit into.
