The Pokémon Company released a trailer Wednesday revealing details about the three Treasure Hunt stories in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The developer had previously confirmed the existence of a threefold storyline in August.
As announced in August, one of the games’ major plots will revolve around the player’s journey to defeat all eight Gym Leaders and become the Champion of the Paldea region. This story has been aptly named “Victory Road.” Important characters for this story include rival Nemona, Pokémon League chairwoman Geeta, and Grass-type Gym Leader Brassius. During his Gym Battle, Brassius uses a Smoliv and a Rock-type Sudowoodo with Grass as its Tera type.
Another storyline in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Treasure Hunt is called “Starfall Street.” It involves challenging an evil team, a group of rebellious students known as Team Star. A new character named Mela was revealed as the leader of Team Star’s Fire crew. While no other crews were revealed, it is possible Team Star will have multiple branches revolving around different types.
Finally, the third storyline in these games is named “The Path of Legends.” Players will team up with upperclassmen Arven in an attempt to acquire a rare Herba Mystica. In the process, they will engage in boss battles against giant Pokémon, including the newly-revealed Rock-type Klawf.

Wednesday’s trailer also revealed a pair of version-exclusive Pokémon that look as though they could be Legendaries. The Fire/Psychic-type Armarouge is exclusive to Scarlet and learns a new special attack called Armor Cannon. Meanwhile, the Fire/Ghost-type Ceruledge is exclusive to Violet and learns a new physical attack called Bitter Blade.
The trailer also showed brief footage of the “Let’s Go” feature, which appears to draw inspiration from Pokémon Legends: Arceus. With this feature, trainers can throw out a Poké Ball to have their Pokémon collect items or automatically battle wild Pokémon in the overworld.

Players will be able to take on the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Treasure Hunt stories in any order they please. As a result, fans will be able to pave their own way through these games when they launch in November.
