Content creator, professional gamer, and internet personality Tyler “Ninja” Blevins most recently announced his departure from Amazon-owned Twitch to Microsoft-owned competitor Mixer. A few weeks later, he has seemingly leaked a potential partnership by accident with the world’s second-largest sportswear manufacturer, Adidas.

Adidas partnership

Fans of the former Twitch icon posted on Reddit showing an upload on his YouTube channel that was titled, “Ninja x Adidas: Time In”. The video was under a minute long, and it only stayed up for a short amount of time before being taken down. Ninja last uploaded a video around three days ago; since then, he hasn’t uploaded anything. He and Adidas have released no statements about this on social media either.

ninja x adidas leaked!?!?? the video has been removed now btw from FortNiteBR

Some commenters described trying to view the video but said that it had been removed before viewing. Others mentioned that there was allegedly a blue Adidas hoodie with long sleeves, along with “Ninja” written on the left side in the video.

This wouldn’t be Adidas’ first venture into esports. It currently has sponsorships with a few esports organizations like Danish team North Esports, Team Heretics, Grow uP Esports, and Team Vitality.

Ninja’s merchandise store is also currently closed behind a password wall. Visitors see Ninja’s logo and “Under Construction” text underneath. However, other than this information detailed above, we have no more details.

After signing a multi-year contract with Mixer and moving exclusively to the platform, Ninja has also made other moves in recent weeks. Earlier this week, the professional gamer released his own book, titled Get Good: My Ultimate Guide to Gaming. The book provides Ninja’s advice on gaming equipment, improving in various games, and turning a passion into a career path as he did.

The former Halo 3 competitive player drew in huge popularity with the release of Fortnite. He then streamed with Drake, amassed millions of subscribers on YouTube, appeared in a Super Bowl ad, and made it onto the 2019’s Time Magazine 100 Most Influential.

With figures like Ninja coming into the mainstream media and esports becoming more accepted, what other partnerships could we see in the future?
