The MultiVersus Twitter account announced Monday when the second half of the “Rick and Morty” duo will join the Warner Bros. crossover platform fighter. Rick Sanchez’s release date as a playable character in MultiVersus has been set for Tuesday.

Rick has been one of the longest-anticipated additions to the MultiVersus roster. He appeared in the first version of the roster, which Juan “Hungrybox” DeBiedma leaked in October of last year. However, he and Gandalf were later replaced by Arya Stark and Garnet in the base roster, leaving Rick’s future in the game uncertain.

Then, Rick was officially revealed alongside Morty and LeBron James at San Diego Comic-Con in July of this year. Since then, Player First Games has added LeBron, Morty and Gizmo to the game, along with confirming that Stripe and Black Adam are on the way.

MultiVersus finally confirms Rick release date

Warner Bros. Games finally confirmed that Rick would be the next character to join the game through a teaser trailer last week. After a year of waiting and plenty of gameplay leaks, players can look forward to the MultiVersus Rick release date this week. Leaks have shown that Rick will have three unlockable variants: Mech Suit Rick, Pickle Rick and Seal Team Rick.

Rick is classified as a Mage in MultiVersus, meaning he excels at ranged gameplay. The MultiVersus Twitter account has revealed three of Rick’s special moves through his class breakdown card: Yeah, Fart Bomb!, Meseek and Destroy, and Basrick Portal Theory.

Fittingly, it seems that Rick’s overall game plan will involve zoning with projectiles and the use of portals to move around the stage. Developer Devin “reslived” Gajewski said Rick has the highest skill ceiling of any character in the game. Players will get to test reslived’s claim for themselves following tomorrow’s release date for Rick in MultiVersus.
