Earlier today, Mousesports revealed that they have signed a new roster for League of Legends. The new roster is set to play in the Prime League. The Prime League is the equivalent of other countries’ academy leagues. Mousesports’ history with the game dates back all the way to 2012. Now, they are back to continue that legacy.

Several big names signed to the Mousesports roster

The Mousesports roster has signed several former League of Legends European Championship (LEC) players. The most notable is the support player, Hampus “Promisq” Abrahamsson. Promisq is the former substitute support player of G2 Esports, the most dominant European team in recent history.

Returning for a new chance also is Jesper “Jeskla” Klarin Strömberg. Jeskla previously competed in the LEC in two splits in 2019 alongside the Excel Esports roster. 2019 was not a good year for Jeskla’s professional career. Jeskla, alongside the Excel Esports roster, finished 9th and 10th place in consecutive seasons of the LEC. However, he has not given up yet. This opportunity, now alongside Promisq, will be his chance at redemption, and a new chance to prove he is good enough to compete on the big stage once again.

Old teammates reunited

Another notable player that has joined the roster is none other than Adam “Lider” Ilyasov. Lider previously competed on Misfits Gaming Premier in the Premier League, winning the Spring Main event of the European Masters. Besides this, Lider also competed in the LEC with the Misfits Gaming roster later on in the 2019 Summer season.

Joining the new roster, alongside Lider, is his former teammate Patrick “Obsess” Engelmann. Obsess was part of the roster that led Misfits Gaming Premier to the EU masters victory. Unlike Lider, however, Obsess has not had the opportunity to show off his skill in the LEC.

Finalizing the new team

To round out the new team is a veteran of Mousesports, Niklot “Tolkin” Stüber. The top lane player has been with the Mousesports roster since October of 2018. Besides Tolkin, another veteran remaining with the roster is the Head Coach Alexander “Candyfloss” Cartwright. Candyfloss joined the roster back in July of 2019. In his time with the team, he managed to lead the roster to a 1st place victory in the Premier Tour 2019 Summer event. He is currently set to remain with the new roster throughout the 2020 season.
