Magic: War of the Spark spoilers revealed -- New Planeswalkers!

Today is the day! This is without a doubt the biggest day of the month for any Magic: The Gathering fan, and the beginning of spoiler season for War of the Spark is finally here. Wizards of the Coast has given us 16 brand new cards to share with everyone through their official Twitch stream covering the Mythic Invitational at PAX East. The build-up for War of the Spark has been huge, and today it all comes together. Not long ago, we got news that this expansion would have a Planeswalker in every single pack. Today, we get to see a few of those Planeswalkers! Here we go!

Planeswalkers

Here we get to see the new templates for the first ever rare and uncommon Planeswalkers! It seems Planeswalkers in this set will all have static abilities, while the lower rarity ones have fewer abilities than the traditional mythic rarity Planeswalkers.

Ajani, the Greathearted is a new Planeswalker card revealed as one of the War of the Spark spoilers Liliana, Dreadhorde General is a new Planeswalker card revealed as one of the War of the Spark spoilers Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge is a new Planeswalker card revealed as one of the War of the Spark spoilers Vraska, Swarm's Eminence is a new Planeswalker card revealed as one of the War of the Spark spoilers

Other Cards

Of course, Planeswalkers aren’t the only new cards we’re getting! Wizards also revealed a slew of several non-Planeswalker cards we’ll get to see in War of the Spark as well. We’re seeing the return of the Proliferate mechanic to synergize with all the Planeswalkers everywhere! Proliferate looks at all counters, not just +1/+1 counters, so when it triggers you can actually add loyalty to these uncommon Planeswalkers with no + abilities.

We’re also seeing a new mechanic in Amass. This ability summons a zombie, and then buffs it with +1/+1 counters for even more synergy with the Proliferate mechanic!

Conclusion

These spoilers are amazing, and that War of the Spark trailer is incredible! We see the reintroduction of the Proliferate mechanic, and a new mechanic called Amass. These are the first 16 spoilers to be released, and we will by no means be done any time soon since this kicks off spoiler season!
