Fans of Riot Games’ Netflix animated series “Arcane” have been able to enjoy the show on their screens, but a new crossover with Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair means they can soon enjoy it in paper. Riot Games announced that the limited drop will go on sale from Nov. 29 through Dec. 23.
Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair x Arcane will be available in both foil and non-foil sets. The cards will be revealed in the coming weeks, after the completion of “Arcane,” which is set to release its final act of three episodes on Saturday, Nov. 20.

Magic: The Gathering has done various crossovers in the past. From “The Walking Dead” to most recently “Stranger Things,” Wizards of the Coast is not shy recently about incorporating popular properties into their universe.
“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Riot Games on two Secret Lair drops to celebrate the launch of the League of Legends animated series, Arcane,” Chris Cocks, President of Wizards of the Coast, said. “Bringing fan-favorite brands into the Magic Multiverse is an exciting way for us to bring Magic to life in bold new ways for lifelong fans and first-time players.”
Secret Lairs are groups of existing (and occasionally mechanically unique) cards made into sets with new art themes and styles. With Secret Lair x Arcane, Magic: The Gathering will capture some of the key moments and locations from “Arcane,” such as Piltover and the Undercity.
On Saturday, Nov. 20, animated League of Legends show “Arcane” will finish its highly successful debut season. It quickly rose to the number one spot on Netflix and received praise from many angles. With crossovers between intellectual properties such as Magic: The Gathering and Fortnite, as well as Riot’s own League of Legends and VALORANT, “Arcane” is leaving a clear mark across the gaming industry.
Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair x Arcane will cost $30 and $40, respectively, for the non-foil and foil variants.
