The Overwatch League franchise Los Angeles Valiant, owned by Immortals Gaming Club, has revealed the KIT KAT brand as their new official partner. Along with being the esports organization’s newest patron, Los Angeles Valiant has also given the candy company naming rights to their games.

The Kit Kat Rivalry Weekend

As a result, LA Valiant’s home game event is now titled the “KIT KAT® Rivalry Weekend” and will take place between August 24 and 25. The weekend event will feature brand activations and endorsed digital content alongside the normal Overwatch League games. During the event, Los Angeles Valiant will play the Los Angeles Gladiators and the San Francisco Shock, the other two teams based in California. Taking place at LA Live, attendees of the event will also be able to view the game in KIT KAT® Team Lounges and take part in a KIT KAT® fan fest.

“We are ecstatic to add the KIT KAT® brand to the LA Valiant family,” said Ari Segal, CEO of IGC. “KIT KAT® is a favorite snack to many of our fans and represents the perfect brand to present Overwatch League’s first ‘Rivalry Weekend,’ a celebration of cities, culture, fandom, and fun.”

“We are thrilled to launch our first esports endorsement with the LA Valiant,” said Chris Kinnard, Senior Brand Manager of KIT KAT®. “We can’t wait to be involved in the activities and events throughout Rivalry Weekend while we continue to learn and grow in esports for the KIT KAT® brand.”

Immortals Gaming Club

Immortals recently rebranded their parent company to Immortals Gaming Club. Their teams include Immortals, the Overwatch League team Los Angeles Valiant, and the MiBR brand. They have also looked into purchasing OpTic Gaming’s LCS spot. However, by doing so, they would have to forfeit the Houston Outlaws Overwatch League spot due to league rules.

LA Valiant play their next game on June 6 against the Shanghai Dragons. To learn more about the KIT KAT® Rivalry Weekend, visit val.gg/KitKat. Want to keep up with all of the latest Overwatch news and content? Keep track on our Overwatch page!
