HyperX announced they’ll be the official headset patron for an E-League team.
Late last year, HyperX announced they were broadening their scope and “building out their brand.” In 2018, they signed Post Malone. Currently, they are patroning over 20 esports teams globally. HyperX are now further cementing themselves into esports as the official headset patron of the Western Sydney Wanderers. The Western Sydney Wanderers are a soccer (football) club based in Sydney, Australia. The club has an A-League football team, as well as a FIFA E-League team. As their E-League partner, HyperX will be featured on front of the club’s jersey.
Esports and traditional sport
Like many traditional sports teams, the Wanderers see the value of having both a traditional sports team and corresponding esports team. The Wanderers CEO, John Tsatsimas, says esports is growing. It’s an area their club is looking to develop over the coming years:

HyperX is a business that is focused on the professionalism of the gaming and performance aspect of esports. We are excited to partner with HyperX and have our competitors train in an elite environment using the best technology to enhance their performance this E-League season.
As part of the agreement, HyperX will be providing audio gear to each of the Wanderers E-League players. Joseph “N8 OhNoAGoat” Nassar, Joel “N8 JAz” Andruszkiewicz, and Negede “Tyrone” Hunegnaw will receive HyperX gear throughout the 2019 E-League season.
HyperX will be joining N8 Esports as another newly announced partnership with the Wanderers. N8 Esports will manage the club’s training at the Esports High Performance Centre in Sydney.
