The time for another Halo Infinite tournament is here, with the HCS Orlando Major 2022 starting this week. The world’s best Halo teams will travel to Florida to compete for the lion’s share of $250,000 and the title of champions. Before all of that goes down, though, players will need to know how they can watch the event and when the major will start.
Watching HCS Orlando 2022
As every other Halo Infinite tournament has done, the Orlando Major will be streamed to both Twitch and YouTube on Halo’s official channels. This is nothing new, so if you follow the channel or Twitch or are subscribed to it on YouTube, you will see it pop up every day when the tournament goes live.
Speaking of going live, HCS Orlando will run from Sept. 23-25. The start times for those three days are viewable below:
- Sept. 23 – Broadcast begins @ 12:00 PM ET
- Sept. 24 – Broadcast begins @ 1:30 PM ET
- Sept. 25 – Broadcast begins @ 12:00 PM ET
Some of the action at the tournament will begin before the broadcast begins, but viewers won’t miss much prior to that. As with any live event, it’s unclear exactly when the broadcast will end each day, as delays and other unforeseen difficulties could push the stream longer than planned.

The HCS Orlando teams and format
This is arguably the biggest tournament of the year for Halo Infinite. The top 12 teams from this event will qualify for the HCS World Championships, meaning there’s more than just prize money on the line.
Those 12 teams will be decided through a 24-team double-elimination championship bracket. In order to get in that bracket, teams need to make it through pool play. The 16 qualified HCS teams will be split up into four pools of four, while eight teams from the HCS Open bracket will join those teams. The top four Open teams will be dispersed into the pools while the top four teams from the Open Elimination bracket will move to the championship bracket (starting in the elimination bracket).
Every team in pool play will eventually move onto the championship bracket. However, only the top two teams from each pool will advance to the winner’s bracket, while the bottom two teams will begin in the elimination bracket. From there, teams will fight through the bracket to make it to the grand finals of HCS Orlando.
All of the action begins on Friday, Sept. 23 from the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.
