When you first get started in Redfall, you will be introduced to the loadout screen. Here, you will be able to customize your character’s look, equip and sort your guns, and select a Remnant to use. However, there is one other slot that cannot be filled when you first begin. That slot is called Vampire God Remnants, and this is an essential piece of your character in Redfall.

Unfortunately, you do not gain access to the item until much later in the game. It’s also not even explained what they are or what they do. In this guide, we will tell you exactly what Vampire God Remnants are and how they work. Be warned, though, as there are some spoilers in the explanation.

Unlocking Vampire God Remnants in Redfall

The only way to unlock Vampire God Remnant in Redfall is to defeat a major boss, appropriately named Vampire Gods. The first major boss you will encounter is the Hollow Man, which is the man you are chasing for most of the first half of the game.

After defeating the Hollow Man, you will be able to pick up his Vampire God Remnant, which is an item that you previously procure. There are four total Vampire God Remnants, and you can only equip one after defeating each boss.

In order to equip a Vampire God Remnant, all you need to do is go to your loadout screen and click on the Vampire God Remnant box in the top left. Here, you will be able to select one Vampire God Remnant to have active. Each remnant offers a different bonus from the others, giving you the option to customize your character how you see fit. You can mix and match the active remnants as much as possible, just like with your normal Remnants.
