Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 is just around the corner, and the update will deliver a flurry of new content. From the arrival of Warzone 2 and DMZ to new multiplayer content, players should have plenty to do after Season 1 arrives. As a part of the content drop, players will gain access to a new and improved Battle Pass.

While many aspects of the Battle Pass have changed, something that hasn’t changed is the presence of two, free weapons. One of those weapons is the BAS-P submachine gun, which players can unlock rather easily in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.

The BAS-P was actually already in MW2 as a usable weapon in the Campaign. However, Activision seemingly decided to save the BAS-P for Season 1, so players are getting multiplayer access to it three weeks after the game initially launched. Activision describes the BAS-P as having “an aggressive fire rate and modular frame.” The BAS-P also has an integrated suppressor so they’re kept off of the mini-map when firing without needing to add an extra attachment.

Unlock the BAS-P in Warzone 2 and MW2

As the BAS-P will be a free Battle Pass weapon, that’s where players will be able to unlock it. At the time of writing, we’re unsure where the BAS-P will be located on the Battle Pass. However, the new Battle Pass system allows players to unlock certain items before others. There is no longer a tier system that players have to work through.

Instead, players can choose to unlock specific sections of content using Battle Pass Tokens. This means players can unlock the BAS-P as soon as they want, provided they have enough Battle Pass Tokens. Players can earn the tokens through in-game playtime.

However, if players bought the Vault Edition of Modern Warfare 2, then they will have 50 Tier Skips for the Season 1 Battle Pass. It’s unclear how these Tier Skips will work with the new version of the Battle Pass, but it sounds like players will be able to use them to unlock any section of content they want right off the bat.

We’ll have to see how the BAS-P can be unlocked when Season 1 of Warzone 2 and MW2 releases on Nov. 16.
