One of the biggest missing features from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 as of right now is the Challenges tab.

While players have access to weapon camo and Mastery challenges, there is no tab for the basic multiplayer challenges. Infinity Ward has stated that this feature is in the game, but players haven’t been able to experience it as of yet. The most likely date for the arrival of the Challenges tab is with Season 1 on Nov. 16. However, some players might not want to wait that long. Luckily, there’s currently a way to unlock all of the calling cards that are associated with the challenges in Modern Warfare 2.

The reward for completing most challenges in a Call of Duty multiplayer has been a calling card. Players usually can earn several calling cards in a certain challenge tab and then earn an animated Mastery calling card for completing every challenge in that specific tab. Emblems are unlocked in similar ways, but they’re not as common as the calling cards.

Since there’s no official Challenges tab yet, players can use a workaround to equip any calling card they want in MW2. We explain that workaround further below.

Unlocking all calling cards in Modern Warfare 2

Here is how to unlock all calling cards:

  • Head to the Private Match tab underneath the Quick Play option in the main menu
  • Make sure you’re not in a party
  • Select CDL Control
  • Wait about 10 to 30 seconds for the Start Match and Game Setup option to become unlocked
  • Press Options on your controller or press your profile in the top right with a mouse

Here, go to your Profile and then select “Edit Calling Card.” Now, you should be able to view all of the Calling Cards in Modern Warfare 2 and pick anyone to equip. This works the same with Emblems as well.

Due to this trick (which could be called a glitch), this new Calling Card/Emblem will pop up in multiplayer matches. This will almost certainly be patched, but, for now, you can show off to the world your favorite Calling Card in MW2.
