On Tuesday, Activision announced the World Series of Warzone tournament was returning in 2022. The event was a hit last season with fans, mainly because of a format that featured some of the biggest names in Warzone as competitors. This year, Activision is bringing on a new sponsor, Prime Gaming, and putting up $600,000 in prize money.

They’re also allowing any player off the street to qualify for the World Series of Warzone.

Like last year, this year’s event will feature trios only and take place in the North American and European regions. There are individual qualifiers for NA and EU, so players from each region will only play against competitors in their region. However, before players get to the qualifiers, they need to make a team on the Gamebattles website and drop into the WSOW BR Trios playlist in Warzone. The playlist will be live in Warzone from Aug. 12-15.

From here, players will compete for the top 40 spots in their region. The top 40 teams from this playlist will move on to the regional qualifiers. Players can check the in-game leaderboard to see where they stand in their region and how far away they are from the top 40. Players can sign up to enter this playlist with their team on Gamebattles for their specific region. The NA and EU Gamebattles links can be found on the World Series of Warzone website.

The top 40 teams from both regions will compete in their qualifiers starting in late August. The EU qualifiers begin on Aug. 20 at noon ET, and the NA qualifiers begin on Aug. 21 at 3 p.m. ET. Players who do enter the qualifiers will need to stream their gameplay, either on Twitch YouTube, or Facebook. From there, the top teams in the qualifiers will get to play with the biggest names in Warzone during the main event.
