Hogwarts Legacy is available to play on both PlayStation 5 and PC, but some players want to have the best of both worlds. While most players will use the input device specific to their platform, not every player will follow this same strategy. There are some that like to use a controller on PC and others that might enjoy zipping around the Wizarding World in Hogwarts Legacy using a mouse and keyboard on PS5.

Hogwarts Legacy on PS5 with mouse and keyboard
Unfortunately, at the time of writing, we cannot confirm or deny that mouse and keyboard are supported on PS5 in Hogwarts Legacy. We do know that mouse and keyboard are supported on the Xbox Series X|S, but the same can’t be said for the other current-gen console.
If you want to try out hooking up a mouse and keyboard to your PS5 for Hogwarts Legacy, you can follow the steps below. Again, though, we can’t confirm or deny that this will work; this is simply how you get a mouse and keyboard working for other games on the PS5.
- Connect both your mouse and keyboard through the USB slots on the PS5
- Go to the home screen and select Settings > Accessories
- Select Other Accessories and find the options for both a mouse and keyboard
- Set up both accessories the way that you want
If everything works correctly, then you should be able to play Hogwarts Legacy using your new inputs. However, you most likely will not be able to remap your keyboard’s keybinds. This is how things are set up with the Xbox Series X|S, and we would imagine it’s the same on PS5. So you’re basically stuck with the default keybinds on keyboard.
