Right from the start of Hogwarts Legacy, you are given a potion called the Wiggenweld, which is your primary source of health restoration. You can carry up to 25 of these potions, but at the beginning of the game, you will be scrounging for as many as you can find. This is due to the fact that you are unable to actually brew any of your own Wiggenweld potions for quite some time. We went over exactly when you are allowed to start making the potions in a previous guide.

However, when you gain the ability to start brewing the potions by yourself, some players might still face a roadblock when trying to gather the right ingredients. After all, you don’t want to blow up your brewing pot like Garreth Weasley. To find out exactly what ingredients are required in the making of a Wiggenweld potion in Hogwarts Legacy, keep reading below.

While you can see what ingredients are required for any potion at a brewing station, it might be easier for us just to tell you. All of the required ingredients are as follows:

  • x1 Horklump Juice
  • x1 Dittany Leaves

If you have those ingredients in your inventory, you will be able to combine them in your brewing pot and churn out a single vial of Wiggenweld potion. The potion takes 15 seconds to brew, so you don’t even have to leave the table before gathering your potion.

As stated previously, you can only carry 25 Wiggenweld potions at a time. If you already have 25 stowed and you brew another, you will not be able to pick it up until you have a free space for it. So if you’re in your Room of Requirement, consider brewing other potions if you already have 25 Wiggenwelds.

If you wish to find Horklump Juice in Hogwarts Legacy, all you need to do is explore the world and the various caves you will find to the north and south of the castle. The Horklumps are pink and purple mushrooms with spikes on them. As for Dittany Leaves, we recommend growing them in a potting table. You can do this after buying the Dittany Leaves seeds from the Magic Neep shop in Hogsmeade.
