One of the tougher dessert dishes to make in all of Disney Dreamlight Valley is Waffles.

While the recipe for Waffles itself isn’t challenging, players will often make the wrong dish when trying to prepare the dessert. More often than not, players will end up making Crepes or some other dessert when all they really want is a nice, delectable waffle.

If you want to stop making Crepes or simply want to make your first Waffle in Disney Dreamlight Valley, then keep reading the guide below for all of the details.

Making Waffles in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The recipe for Waffles and where to get each ingredient in Disney Dreamlight Valley is as follows:

  • x1 Eggs – Item purchased from Chez Remy for 220 Star Coins
  • x1 Milk – Item purchased from Chez Remy for 230 Star Coins
  • x1 Wheat – Acquired from Goofy’s Stall in Peaceful Meadow
  • x1 Sugarcane – Acquired from Goofy’s Stall in Dazzle Beach for 29 Star Coins

The main problem that players will run into when making Waffles is the sugar part of the recipe. The recipe states that players can use “Any Sweets,” but that is not the case. If players use anything but Sugarcane, they will make an entirely different dish. For example, if players use Vanilla, they will make Crepes and if they use Cocoa Beans, they will make Chocolate Waffles.

The only way to ensure that you are making regular Waffles is to use Sugarcane. Luckily, Sugarcane — plus all of the other ingredients needed in the recipe — are easily obtainable through either Chez Remy or one of Goofy’s Stalls. You can also grow some of the ingredients using seeds, which can be purchased for next to no Star Coins. But it will take extra time for the ingredients to grow.
