Fire is one of the most valuable things you can have at any given time in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. For starters, a fire gives you a chance to rest and reset from a long journey or a difficult encounter. The main use of a fire, though, is to cook food, which you will need a lot of if you have any hopes of surviving in Hyrule.

Since fire is so valuable, it stands to reason that fire arrows can be just as valuable, if not more so to players in Tears of the Kingdom.

Not only do fire arrows give you a quick and easy way of starting a basic fire, but they also give you a stronger weapon against enemies. After all, setting an enemy or something else on fire will only cause more damage than a regular arrow would. However, the process of making fire arrows is both simple and, well, not so simple in Tears of the Kingdom. Okay, let me explain.

As you might expect, the primary process of making fire arrows comes through fusing. We will list the proper steps to fuse an arrow into a fire arrow below.

  • Make sure you have a bow and plenty of arrows in your inventory (read our previous guide on how to farm arrows if you’re running low)
  • Find a Fire Fruit, which can be located to the south of the Royal Ancient Lab Ruins (northeast part of the map). They are also located all over the rest of Hyrule in random spots
  • Equip your bow and then press “Up” on your D-Pad to attach an item
  • Scroll through your items until you find the Fire Fruit
  • Select the Fire Fruit and it will fuse with your arrow, setting the tip ablaze

If you want an easier, but less convenient way of acquiring fire arrows, you can simply put an active arrow next to a flame source. All you need to do is have your arrow out, approach something like a fire, and then the tip of your arrow will be set ablaze once you get close enough.

Those are the two ways of making fire arrows in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Neither way is particularly easy for you to do consistently, but those are your options.
