When it was first introduced in Generation 4, the special Fighting-type move Aura Sphere was closely associated with Lucario. Even so, Togekiss held the distinction of being the only non-Legendary Pokémon other than Lucario that could learn the attack.

Now, this iconic attack has made its way into the Fairy/Flying-type’s moveset in Pokémon GO, but only under special circumstances. Here’s what trainers need to know in order to obtain a Togekiss with Aura Sphere in Pokémon GO.

How to get Togekiss with Aura Sphere in Pokémon GO

The first step to getting a Togekiss with Aura Sphere in Pokémon GO is to catch its pre-evolution, Togetic. Specifically, players will want to capture a Togetic during the April 2023 Community Day. They will become much more common in the wild from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the player’s time zone on April 15.

In addition, there is a higher chance than normal that two-kilometer eggs will hatch Togepi, Togetic’s pre-evolution, during the Community Day. As a result, both hunting wild Pokémon and hatching eggs will allow trainers to start collecting Togepi Candies, which they can eventually use to evolve Togetic into Togekiss.

Any Togetic that players evolve into Togekiss by 10 p.m. in their time zone on April 15 will automatically learn Aura Sphere as their Charged Attack. Aura Sphere has a base power of 90 and costs 50 energy in Gyms and Raids, while it has a base power of 100 and costs 55 energy in Trainer Battles.

Togekiss will become only the second Pokémon in Pokémon GO that can learn Aura Sphere, with Lucario unsurprisingly being the first.

More to know about the Togetic Community Day

As with other Pokémon that get the spotlight during Community Days, Togetic will have increased shiny odds when trainers find them in the wild on April 15. Likewise, Togepi that trainers hatch from eggs will have the same chances of being shiny. As a result, it shouldn’t be too difficult for players to get a hold of a shiny Togekiss with Aura Sphere in Pokémon GO.

From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. in each player’s time zone, anyone who has a Raid Pass or Premium Battle Pass can challenge Togetic in four-star Raid Battles. Completing one of these Raids will cause Togetic to appear more frequently near the Gym where the Raid was completed for a 30-minute window. These Togetic will have the same shiny odds as the ones that will appear during the Community Day proper.

Players who are willing to pay $1 can participate in a Special Research story during this event. Conversely, players can opt to gift a Special Research ticket to one of their friends as long as that friend does not yet have a Special Research Ticket and the two players have a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher.
