Just like every other Pokémon game, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet feature unique ways to evolve Pokémon. Not every Pokémon can evolve by just leveling it up. Some Pokémon need special items called stones to evolve. One of the stones that players may need to evolve their Pokémon is a Thunder Stone. In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the Thunder Stone is used to evolve multiple Pokémon. Some of these include turning Eevee into Jolteon, Pikachu into Raichu, Magneton into Magnezone and Tadbulb into Bellibolt to name a few. These Thunder Stones exist in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and there are a couple of different ways to get them. Here is a quick guide on how to get Thunder Stones in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Thunder Stone Locations

Just like almost every single other item in the game, the Thunder Stone has a set location in the game. One of only two free Thunder Stone players can get guaranteed in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is in area one in the West Province. Once there, players will see a windmill. Simply climb up the tower and the Thunder Stone will be at the top.

The other free one players can get is by filling out the Pokédex. Once a player hits a certain milestone of Pokémon caught, they will receive a Thunder Stone as part of their rewards track.

There is one final way to get a Thunder Stone in the game, but it will run you some Pokédollars. Once you defeat three gym leaders, players will be able to purchase a Thunder Stone from the Delibird Presents Shop for 3,000 Pokédollars. These three stores are located in are Mesagoza, Levinica and Cascarrafa.
