If you ever find yourself in a frozen environment in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, there are a few things you have to contend with. The first and obvious one is trying to stay warm and not have the cold debuff hit Link as you’re running around a snowy landscape. However, there are ways to make the most out of your time in the cold. For example, you can throw on the Frosbite Armor set in Tears of the Kingdom to increase your overall ice damage. This is perfect for players who have crafted a ton of ice arrows but haven’t put them to good use as of yet.
Of course, the Frostbite Armor set is not easy to locate in Hyrule, as with most other armor sets. If you want to make your life easier, allow me to explain exactly where you can locate this valuable piece of armor in Tears of the Kingdom.
Getting the Frostbite Armor set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
There are three pieces to the Frostbite Armor set, the shirt, legs, and headpiece. Below, you can see where to find all three of these pieces so you can fully complete your set.
Frostbite Armor Headpiece
The Frostbite Headpiece is located at the coordinates 3930, 2859, -0015, inside of Lake Kilsie cave, on the north side of the lake and north of Rito Village. It’s easiest to skydive into this cave and then use your paraglider to make it safely to the ground. Once inside the cave, you will find a Horriblin enemy, which you need to defeat. Once you are past it, you can find the headpiece in a small room on the right side of the cave.
There are icicles blocking the room, but you can destroy them with fire arrows or a bomb flower. After the icicles have disappeared, you have to then destroy a rock wall. Head up to the room with those obstacles out of the way to find the Frostbite Armor Headpiece.
Frostbite Armor Shirt
The Frostbite Armor Shirt is located at the coordinates -3002, 1641, 0201, inside Brightcap Cave. This is found east of Rito Village and you will find two NPCs talking out in front of it. Head inside the cave and fight a Horriblin and then a Like Like, the latter of which you can ignore if you choose. Keep going through the cave until you reach the end, which will have a couple of vines covering the treasure chest.
You can destroy the vines using a fire arrow or climb the wall and get over the vines. Either way, open the chest to reveal the Frostbite Armor Shirt.
Frostbite Armor Legs
The Frostbite Armor Trousers are located at the coordinates -2897, 2511, 0393, inside Hebra Headspring Cave. This is found south of Hebra Mountains and on the northern side of Hebra Headspring. Inside the cave, you will fight two Ice Keeses but nothing after that. Instead, you need to worry about getting to the other side of the cave.
You can get on top of the ice columns in the middle of the water and then jump your way to the next one. Using this strategy, you should be able to reach the other side of the cave and find the Frostbite Armor Trousers, completing the armor set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
