Nothing brings back memories like hearing the phrase “Majora’s Mask.” The Zelda series is no stranger to easter eggs, especially those that reference previous games in the long and storied franchise. In the latest title, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players can find numerous easter eggs that call back to some of the past adventures of Link and Zelda. However, one of the more interactive easter eggs in Tears of the Kingdom refers back to Majora’s Mask.
Majora’s Mask was the subject of its own Zelda game way back in the year 2000. In the newest game, players are actually able to wear the iconic mask as a headpiece item for Link. If you want to learn how to find and wear Majora’s Mask in Tears of the Kingdom, I don’t blame you. Here’s how!
Getting Majora’s Mask in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
The only way to find Majora’s Mask is to complete the tasks at the Floating Coliseum (coordinates: -0708, -1551, -0517). This obstacle course is located deep within the Depths of Hyrule. You can most easily access the Floating Coliseum by going through the Great Plateau North Chasm, which is located south of the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower.
Once you reach the general area of the Floating Coliseum, which only comes after some arduous climbing, you will have to take down many Lynels, which are extremely difficult enemies in Tears of the Kingdom. You can easily take down Lynels using Ancient Blade arrows, as they one-shot them. We also recommend you use the Master Sword, but that isn’t unlocked until later in the game.
You need to kill five Lynels at the Floating Coliseum to open up a chest in the middle of the arena. This chest will contain Majora’s Mask, which you can pick up and then equip from your inventory. The mask carries the ability to make you more undetectable from enemies when sneaking around them, which makes it a great piece of armor to whip out if you don’t want to fight a large group of enemies.
If you do need to take out a large group of enemies, though, we recommend crafting some fire arrows or ice arrows to turn the fight in your favor.
