Starfield is one of the most highly-anticipated games of 2023, and fans are anxiously awaiting its long-awaited release date on Sept. 6. While most fans will have to wait until then, any player can earn up to five days early access to Starfield by simply spending a little extra money.

Like any other modern AAA title, Starfield will launch with several different editions for players to purchase. Players can choose to pre-order one of these editions, which rewards them with some added rewards, or wait until after launch and buy the game physically or digitally. If you are interested in playing Starfield early, then you might want to consider pre-ordering the game. More specifically, you will need to pre-order specific editions of Starfield to earn early access.

You can find out more by reading the guide below.

Getting Early Access for Starfield

To get “up to five days early access” to Starfield, you will need to pre-order one of the following editions:

  • Starfield Digital Premium Edition ($100)
  • Starfield Premium Edition Upgrade ($30)
  • Starfield Constellation Edition ($300)

For most players, the Digital Premium Edition will be the best edition to purchase. It costs $200 less than the Constellation Edition and comes with several perks. The contents of the Digital Premium Edition are as follows:

  • Laser Cutter (Pre-Order)
  • Deep Mining Helmet (Pre-Order)
  • Deep Mining Pack (Pre-Order)
  • Starfield Base Game
  • Shattered Space Story Expansion (upon release)
  • Constellation Skin Pack: Equinox Laser Rifle, Spacesuit, Helmet and Boost Pack
  • Access to Starfield Digital Artbook & Original Soundtrack

The Starfield Story Expansion would make the Digital Premium Edition worth it alone, but the added benefit of five days of early access is icing on the cake. If you pre-order the Standard Edition of Starfield for $70 but want to upgrade to the Premium Edition, you can easily do so. This will cost you an extra $30 and you can upgrade by visiting the same marketplace you pre-ordered the base game.

Starfield early access will start on Sept. 1-2, depending on your time zone.
