The number of food ingredients and consumable items has increased dramatically in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom compared to its predecessor. Hyrule is now home to dozens of ingredients that players can use to eat or create new recipes that give Link new buffs. The majority of these ingredients are easy enough to at least stumble across, but others are seemingly impossible to find. One of the ingredients that have given players problems in Tears of the Kingdom is the Big Hearty Radish.

The Big Hearty Radish is used in a number of different food recipes and players can also fuse it to a weapon to add new effects. The Big Hearty form of the Radish also differs from its lesser counterpart, the Hearty Radish. The larger form is much more difficult to find and it’s not in the same locations as its smaller form. If you want to see exactly where to find the Big Hearty Radish in Tears of the Kingdom, I will explain all of its possible locations in the guide below.

If you want to find any kind of Radish in Hyrule, you will need to look to the sky. I have yet to find any Radish on the surface of the map, they are seemingly only found in the Sky Islands of the game.

More specifically, the Big Hearty Radish can be primarily located at Thunderhead Isles and the North Necluda Sky Archipelago. You can look at the base of trees to find Radishes growing, both in the regular and the Big Hearty forms.

The main use of the Big Hearty Radish is to heal Link and give him a temporary boost to his overall health. You can heal yourself and add some extra Hearts by consuming a cooked meal with a Big Hearty Radish.
