The list of dev errors that have popped up in Call of Duty: Warzone over the years is plentiful, to say the least. Fixing Dev Error 6036 in Warzone
The first thing that players need to check if they’re encountering this bug is if their game has been updated. To do this, players can close out of the Warzone application and check for an update. If your system says there’s an update that needs to be installed, then that’s likely your fix. However, if the prompt says that your game is up to date, then you can move on to other fixes.
One of the fixes that has proven most effective is for PC players. Close out of Warzone and go into your computer’s file directory and locate the Warzone application folder. From here, find the “Data” folder and delete it. Sometimes, the data folder becomes corrupt and needs to be reset in order for Warzone to work.
If that fix didn’t do the trick, you can open Warzone and head into the settings. Go to the Graphics tab of the settings and disable cache sun shadows and the cache box.
Finally, if none of those fixes worked, then the only thing you can try is to uninstall and then reinstall Warzone. This is a last-ditch step simply because of how many GBs Warzone currently takes to download. Players with a slower internet connection speed will be waiting for the game to download for quite some time.
