Hyrule wouldn’t be complete without some dragons towering over the land below. In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, there are four dragons that players are able to find and subsequently climb on top of. They are Farosh, Dinraal, Naydra, and the Light Dragon. You may or may not recognize these dragons from previous Zelda titles, such as Breath of the Wild, but the dragons won’t be found in the same locations in Tears of the Kingdom.

If you want to find all four dragons in the newest Zelda game, I can help. I’ve come across them myself after grinding the game and it was definitely worth the extra effort.

Finding all dragons in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

We will go down the list and explain where to find each of the dragons individually. However, players should know ahead of time that the dragons tend to move around and won’t always be found where they’re most often located.

Farosh, the Lightning Dragon

Not to be confused with the Light Dragon, Farosh is usually located in the southwest part of the map, near Lake Hylia and the Gerudo Desert/East Gerudo Chasm. To find Farosh easier, you can launch yourself in the air using the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower or the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower.

As Farosh is the Lightning Dragon, you will need to either wear the Rubber Armor set, which increases shock resistance, or make food or elixirs that improve that stat. This will allow you to not take damage while trying to climb Farosh.

Dinraal, the Fire Dragon

Next up there is the Dinraal, the Fire Dragon. Dinraal can be found above the Eldin Mountains and near the Akkala region in the northern part of the map. You can use the Typhlo Ruins Skyview Tower or the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower to spot the dragon from above. If Dinraal is near a Chasm, it will likely be near the East Akkala Plains Chasm.

You will need heat resistance items or armor if you want to stay alive while climbing Dinraal. This can be done by using elixirs containing bugs and lizards. For food, you can cook Chillshrooms and Chillfin Trout, as they are usually the most effective ingredient. Finally, the Desert Voe Armor set is the primary set that increases heat resistance.

Naydra, the Frost Dragon

Naydra is the Frost Dragon that is located in East Necluda and Mount Lanayru in the southeastern portion of the map. The Chasm Naydra inhabits is the East Hill Chasm. You can use the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower to more easily spot the ice dragon.

If you want to avoid any cold damage, you can consume foods that use Spicy Peppers and also wear the Archaic Greaves or the Snowquill Armor set. We also have a dedicated guide on how to stay warm in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The Light Dragon

Finally, we have the the Light Dragon, which doesn’t necessarily have a set location in Hyrule. I have had success finding the Light Dragon around the Akkala region, but it moves around constantly so you will have to rely on some luck. The Light Dragon is how you can eventually find the Master Sword in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, so this one should be a must-see for all players.
