In Elden Ring’s Liurnia of the Lakes, there is a demigod that goes by the name of Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon. She is located in the Academy of Raya Lucaria, which is in the northwest part of the Liurnia region. The Academy is a giant castle that will take some definite time and multiple tries to get through. However, at the end of it and after you beat Rennala, you have the ability to respec your stat points in Elden Ring. This ability only becomes available if you acquire a Larval Tear, though.

The Larval Tear is the one item that Rennala requests from you in order to respec your stats. She calls it a “Rebirth” but the process is the same. So in order to complete this process, you need to find a Larval Tear somewhere on the Elden Ring map. Luckily for you, there’s a location that has one and it’s not too far away from the Academy.

Finding a Larval Tear in Elden Ring

To begin the journey of finding a Larval Tear, you’ll want to head further south of the Academy. More precisely, you want to head southwest from the Academy. The location you’re looking for is in the lake of Liurnia. You can see the exact location of the Site of Grace near the Larval Tear below.

The location is called the Village of the Albinaurics, and is found up on a cliffside in a shady part of the lake. You’ll know you’re at the location if you see a rickety wooden bridge connecting two rocks.

Ascend the bridge and you’ll find some small shacks and the Site of Grace. Just to the right of the Site of Grace and behind a coffin overlooking the lake is a dead body with an item on it. Pick up the item to find your first Larval Tear in Elden Ring. The only hazard in looting the item is the group of undead that can swarm you on the ground.
