Arrows are an extremely important item that you will never not need in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Link always has his bow on him and in order to fire it, players will need a ton of arrows. Like the prequel to Tears of the Kingdom, Breath of the Wild, arrows can be obtained in a variety of different ways. However, if players really want to ensure they never run out of arrows, they will need to know how to farm them in Tears of the Kingdom.

To see exactly how I went about farming arrows in the newest Zelda title, you can check out the guide below for a few different methods.

In my experience, there are three concrete ways to obtain a large number of arrows in a short amount of time. Those methods are laid out below.

Picking arrows up off the ground

This is perhaps the most fool-proof way of going about arrow farming in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The easiest way to do this is to find an enemy or two that use a bow and arrow. Get the enemies to fire their arrows at you, but make sure to not have the arrows hit you. This is best done by keeping a large distance between you and the enemy so you can easily track the arrows in the air.

After a minute or two, you can retrieve the arrows that the enemies shot at you off the ground. If the arrow hit you, it will not be retrievable. Once you have found all of the arrows on the ground, save your game, and then reload your save. Find the same enemy that was using the bow and arrow, and repeat the process over and over until you have a giant stockpile of arrows.

Buy arrows from a merchant

A less successful way of acquiring arrows is to purchase them from a shop. This is not advisable compared to our other methods, though, as this costs Rupees and the arrows cannot be bought in very high quantities. Still, I wanted to mention it in case you were in dire need of some arrows.

Looting arrows from crates

Finally, you can find arrows when breaking the wooden crates that are common around Hyrule. Once again, this isn’t a very reliable method to farm arrows in Tears of the Kingdom, but you should know about it nonetheless. If you happen to find a crate or two with arrows in them, don’t bother saving and then reloading your game; the arrows don’t respawn immediately in the crates.

And with that, I have given you my secrets to farming arrows in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. For other guides, you can check out how to get the Barbarian Armor set and how to stay warm from the cold.
