One of the new Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet, here is how to evolve the Grass/Ghost type Bramblin. It proves to be unique, as one of the few Pokémon in the series which needs a certain amount of steps to evolve into Brambleghast.

Where to find Bramblin in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

There are two main areas to find Bramblin in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Both are desert-like areas, fitting of the tumbleweed Pokémon that is Bramblin. Both areas are on a patch just exiting a city, the first being just north of Levincia. The long, upward path that goes into East Province Area Three has plenty of Bramblin rolling about. But, they aren’t limited to that path, as you can find them all over East Province Area Three.

Plus, the Asado Desert has tons of Bramblin within, from just outside of Cascarrafa to Porto Marinada. Lastly, there is a chance to find a Bramblin in Tera Raid battles, most likely Grass or Ghost-Type.

How to evolve Bramblin

To evolve Bramblin in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, first, you have to walk with it for 1,000 steps in Let’s Go mode. For those who don’t know, that’s the mode where you press ZR and let the first Pokémon in your party follow you around. Keep in mind, you need to keep it out of your Poké Ball for all those steps for them to count towards the evolution.

After that, the next level up will lead to its evolution into Brambleghast. If you level it up and it doesn’t evolve, that means you haven’t taken enough overworld steps with it yet. Just continue to meander around with Bramblin and watch him tumble alongside you to build those 1,000 steps.

If you wish to save some time, just keep some Rare Candies in your bag and use one when you think you’ve taken all those steps.
