There are some missions in Call of Duty MW3 Zombies that seem simple, but turn out to be your worst nightmare. The Holdout mission in Act 3 is in this category, as many players have struggled to complete it for seemingly unknown reasons.
Holdout has three different objectives, all revolving around an Outlast contract. Your first objective is to simply complete an Outlast contract and the second is to kill 50 zombies inside the corrupted space during the contract’s run-time. The third and final objective is to exfil with the Wunderwaffe DG-2 Plans, which spawns in the Reward Rift after you complete the Outlast contract.
However, even when players fully complete the contract, it doesn’t count toward the mission and the Wunderwaffe DG-2 Plans don’t appear in the Reward Rift. To see why this is happening and find out how to complete the Holdout mission in MW3 Zombies, check out the guide below.
Completing the Holdout mission in MW3 Zombies
The one key thing to remember when you are trying to complete the Holdout mission in MW3: you need to stay within the corrupted space for the entire duration of the Outlast contract. For whatever reason, the Outlast contract doesn’t count towards the Holdout mission if you step anywhere outside the corrupted space when the contract is active.
This means you can’t go outside the building or space where the Outlast contract takes place. If you stay within the corrupted space for the entire duration of the contract, then you should see the objective in the Holdout mission completed. You also need to ensure you kill 50 zombies in the corrupted space during the contract, but this is fairly easy as long as you’re killing everything you see.
If you successfully stay within the corrupted space for the entire Outlast contract, then the Wunderwaffe DG-2 Plans should spawn in the Reward Rift at the end of the contract. All you need to do is exfil with the plans and the Holdout mission will be complete in MW3 Zombies.
