Apex Legends was released in February of 2019 and has since become a global phenomenon. Even before its recent resurgence in the latter half of 2021, the player base for Apex Legends has always been growing. Whether it’s the lineup of charismatic legends or the fluid gameplay mechanics, players have loved the core elements of Apex Legends since its launch. As such, many players from around the globe have signed on to play. However, some of these players might need to accommodate their Apex Legends application, which usually means changing the in-game language.
The in-game language that Apex Legends uses is based on the player’s launcher application. That means that players can’t simply find a setting in Apex Legends that they need to change. Instead, they need to go through their specific launcher and change the language for Apex Legends from there. Below, players can find out how to do that.
Changing the language in Apex Legends
For the PC version of Apex Legends, players will launch the title from one of two applications: Steam and Origin. The steps to change the in-game language on both of these launchers are found below.
Steam
- Open up Steam
- Go to “Library”
- Find Apex Legends
- Right-click on the game title and hit “Properties”
- Locate the Language tab on the left side of the screen
- Select the preferred language
Origin
- Origin
- Go to “Games Library”
- Find Apex Legends
- Click the gear icon
- Click “Advanced Launch Options”
- In Application settings, find the Language option and select the preferred language

- Select the preferred language
Nintendo Switch
- Players are required to download the specific dialect audio pack from the eShop
