Call of Duty: Warzone 2 has introduced a plethora of new mechanics and features to the existing battle royale formula and the core Warzone gameplay loop. From a 2v2 Gulag to loadout changes to AI on the map, Warzone 2 has changed in more ways than one from its predecessor. However, there are few changes that affect players more than the overhaul to looting. Players now have to inventory manage and look out for higher-tier backpacks. While this might seem like a negative, one positive has come out of it, and that’s the ability to carry three weapons in Warzone 2.

If you’re an avid DMZ player in Warzone 2, then you will likely already know the method of carrying three different guns on your character at the same time. However, Warzone-only players might not know of the mechanic yet, and that’s where we can come in to help. Below, we’ll explain the exact method you can use to have three weapons available to you all at once.

The first item that players will need to pull this off is a level two or three backpack (medium or large). These are found in a few different ways, but the easiest way to find them is to simply loot around the Al Mazrah map. Open every supply box and look in every building to expedite the process.

Once you have a medium or large backpack, you will need to have your two base weapons equipped. Then, once you stumble across a third weapon you want to take with you, you’ll see an option appear. This option says “Hold to Stow” once you’re hovering over the third weapon. If you hold your interact button, that weapon will be stowed in your backpack.

Now, you will have your two weapons on your person and one in your backpack. By opening your backpack in Warzone 2, you can switch between all three of these weapons at any time. Just click on the third weapon in your backpack while holding the weapon you want to replace it with. This allows you to fully take advantage of the meta, which is using an assault rifle, SMG, and sniper rifle. This allows players to take any gunfight, no matter the range an enemy appears at in Warzone 2.
