As of now, it is unconfirmed how old Thrud is in God of War: Ragnarok. She is a goddess and is therefore immortal. However, the game does not clarify whether she is actually as young as she appears. It is possible that she has already been alive for quite some time but stopped aging some time ago.

Nevertheless, Thrud does appear to be visibly younger than her parents, the goddess Sif and Thor, God of Thunder. Likewise, it appears that she is far younger than her grandfather, the Norse god and main antagonist of the game, Odin. For this reason, it is plausible that Thrud has not yet stopped aging. If this is the case, she could very well be in her late teens or early 20s.

In God of War: Ragnarok, Thrud ends up having a favorable disposition toward Kratos’ son, Atreus. Although Atreus previously killed her brother, Modi, Thrud doesn’t seem to hold this fact against him. Instead, she confides in him that she longs to become one of Odin’s Valkyries one day. Thus, she hoped to be a warrior responsible for carrying souls into Valhalla for the afterlife.

Thrud is slightly taller than Atreus and proves to be quite powerful. She wears heavy armor made out of Asgardian steel. In addition, she proves herself capable of wielding her father’s hammer, Mjölnir. After Thor’s death toward the end of the game, Thrud takes control of Mjölnir, officially becoming the Goddess of Thunder in the process.

Some of Thrud’s other capabilities include exceptional endurance and impressive combat abilities in battle. In addition, she inherited the ability to attack using the power of electricity from her father. While players may not learn how old Thrud is in God of War: Ragnarok, the game’s story does reveal much about Thrud’s personality and her prowess as a fighter.
