Blizzard has announced the next Hearthstone expansion, Descent of Dragons, at BlizzCon 2019. The 135-card expansion will conclude the story that started in the Rise of Shadows and Saviors of Uldum expansions.

Players will work to stop Rafaam and his League of E.V.I.L. from resurrecting Galakrond, the progenitor of all dragonkind. From Blizzard:

Descent of Dragons takes the fight between the League of E.V.I.L. and the League of Explorers to the skies above Dragonblight, where the final phase of Rafaam’s arch-villainous plot is underway. As Dalaran continues to streak across the skies of Azeroth, it now carries a sinister payload. It seems that not all Plagues were contained in Uldum, and Rafaam plans to leverage this bounty of larceny to resurrect a great power thought long defeated.

Galakrond, the Apocalypse descends

Galakrond is available in five new Hero cards, in the Warrior, Warlock, Shaman, Rogue, and Priest classes. Each version of Galakrond has a unique Battlecry ability and Hero Power. Galakrond also comes with a new keyword, Invoke. Every time two cards with Battlecry: Invoke resolve, Galakrond becomes stronger. Playing two Invoke cards upgrades Galakrond to Galakrond, The Apocalypse, and playing four turns him into Galakrond, Azeroth’s End. Each time Galakrond gets an upgrade, he doubles the effect of his Battlecry. He will also equip a 5/2 Claw weapon in his final form.

Other new cards coming to Descent of Dragons include sidequests, plenty of new dragons, and spells that get more powerful if you control other dragons.
