Esports Engine, from the co-founders of Major League Gaming (MLG), is a management organization specializing in formulating successful esports programs. Now, Esports Engine is becoming a global management partner for Halo Infinite esports with developer 343 Industries for Halo Championship Series (HCS). Halo Infinite is scheduled to release for the holidays in 2020. Previous iterations of HCS featured Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Halo 5: Guardians.

Adam Apicella, CEO of Esports Engine, stated the following about the new partnership in HCS’s official announcement:

We are extremely excited to work with 343 Industries as their Global Management Partner and leverage our rich Halo history and 20 years of esports operations experience to help build the best program for players, fans, teams, and tournament operators around the world. From our experience running Halo for so many years and also being a third party operator trying to make ends meet – now being able to help design a program that’s something the fans want, something the players want, that’s great for the teams, great for the other operators – it’s super exciting to be involved in such a monumental project.

Halo looks toward a bright future

In November 2019, Halo celebrated the fifth anniversary of the Halo Championship Series. At that time, they hinted at the vision the organization hopes to develop moving forward, stating, “Our mission is to provide epic entertainment to Halo fans through the thrill of competition. We believe in cultivating and uniting communities, while building a platform and thriving ecosystem for players, teams, and partners to find success on, and creating a content ecosystem for fans around the world to enjoy.”

Growing tournament viewership and increasing exposure of teams, players, and content creators are 343 Industries’ top priorities for Halo Championship Series. They hope to utilize Halo‘s platform to grow those who have invested so much into the community.

Esports Engine specializes in broadcast technology, competition operations, live event production, and esports ecosystem design. Known to cultivate long-standing esports programs and producing over 400 events, Esports Engine is an industry staple. Esports Engine’s role in HCS is to help structure a successful program. From league formatting and operations to broadcasts, Esports Engine will become integral to its management.
