Graves

Graves comes into the game as a four-cost Tempest Cannoner that will replace Corki in the ranged AD carry spot, although he actually functions almost the opposite way. Unlike Corki, who sits safe on the backline, Graves gets down to the nitty gritty with his Quickdraw ability. This ability lets him dash towards his target before unleashing an empowered auto while also gaining armor and magic resist for the rest of combat. The low mana ability makes Graves very agile around the map while also being very hard to kill.

But don’t get it twisted, he still has range and his auto attacks have the innate passive of firing in a cone which allows Graves to be one of the best carries in the game. Oh and he is also a Tempest champion so once the Tempest trait fires in the middle of the round, he hits his power spike.

Also shoutouts to the development team using the EDG Graves skin. Now everyone can look like Li “Flandre” Xuanjun.

Nilah

Nilah is a four-cost Lagoon Assassin in TFT 7.5 | Provided by Riot Games.

League of Legends’ newest champion Nilah has already made her debut in TFT 7.5. As part of the new Lagoon trait, Nilah is replacing Talon as this set’s premier carry Assassin. And in TFT, the best Assasins are usually ones with ability resets, Nilah is no different. Nilah’s ability, Apotheosis, allows Nilah to crack her whip-blade at her target and dashes through them. The unique part of this ability is how it interacts with shielded units. If Nilah strikes a shielded enemy, she steals her opponent’s shield and if her target gains a shield in combat, she instantly casts her ability again. She also instantly casts her ability if she kills her current target.

Jayce

Jayce is a four-cost Guild Shapeshifter in TFT 7.5. | Provided by Riot Games.

With Talon leaving for Nilah, the Guild trait was left without a four-cost carry champion to fill the gap. But the dev team knew this and added in Jayce for replacement. Jayce isnt an Guild Assassin like Talon. Instead, he is a Guild Shapeshifter. Because Jayce has two forms in actual League of Legends, this version utilizes both.

Jayce starts off as a ranged champion — once he casts his ability for the first time, he shifts into melee form and performs an AoE slam, dealing damage and knocking enemies into the air for a time. While in melee form, Jayce’s ability transforms into a slam that does damage and shields him, but does not knock enemies upwards. In the playtest, Jayce was AD based, but the devs said that their intention is to make him into an AP carry.
