The long-awaited “When the Sakura Bloom” trailer for Genshin Impact Version 2.5 released on Friday. There is a lot packed into the four and a half minute long video, so players can expect yet another exciting set of events from miHoYo. With the version planning on going live on February 16, we have some time to figure out our plans for the upcoming update.
Enkanomiya will get additional content
The newest region added to the game in Version 2.4 was Enkanomiya, a subterranean world beneath Watasumi Island. The Three Realms Gateway Offering event introduces a new gadget that can be used to purify the tainted regions of Enkanomiya. There seem to be exclusive rewards available for participating, so it is recommended that players try to unlock this area as soon as possible.
Furthermore, new types of enemies called Shadow Husks will prowl all over the area. From their looks, they seem to be capable of dealing elemental damage.
Raiden Shogun will be a trounce domain boss
Version 2.4 gave us a new normal boss in Enkonomiya, the Coral Defenders. Version 2.5 will introduce Raiden Shogun as a weekly, trounce domain boss. With this release, new story missions with Raiden will be available. Players can also expect Raiden Shogun to have a rerun banner in the second half of the version.
Yae Miko will come out as a playable character
As we predicted, Yae Miko will be starred in the upcoming character banner as the new 5-star character. She will also have her special weapon, Kagura’s Verity, available in the weapon banner.
New and Returning Events in Genshin Impact Version 2.5
Old events like Overflowing Mastery and Hyakunin Ikki are returning. Additionally, there are two new events coming out during this version. Devine Ingenuity is an event similar to Super Mario Maker where players can create their own domain and earn rewards when other players play them. Drink A-Dreaming is the other event where players play as a bartender creating drinks with correct ingredients for the customers.
