After a few months of inactivity, Pujan “FNS” Mehta will be joining eUnited. Brandon “Ace” Winn will also be moving to the bench. Additionally, the change will have current in-game leader Skyler “Relyks” Weaver move to the AWPer position.

FNS is joining eUnited after being inactive for around three months, after his stint with Cloud9. Many would consider FNS’ time with Cloud9 a failure. The team would not find much success with him. He would join Cloud9 after they would lose longtime member Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip. He would take over the in-game leading role from Tarik “tarik” Celik for the time being. Unfortunately, Cloud9 would transfer list him after only one and a half months, as his playing style would clash with the rest of the team.

Cloud9 and eUnited: What Could Work

As a result, it is clear that FNS needed a clean slate from his time with Cloud9. Taking time off might have been hard like he would mention in his statement. However, it also may have been necessary for his mental to return for the better. Additionally, having the ability to work with a fresh face could be good for the team as well. eUnited has had a pretty lackluster 2018 season, only managing to win two minor tournaments.

FNS’ veteran presence could give eUnited the vision and leadership needed for success. It was clear that under the leadership of Relyks, the team wasn’t performing too well. Maybe with this move to AWPer, this could enable him as a player. The team will be competing at IEM Chicago, where they will be facing some tall competition. Teams like Astralis, Na’Vi, and FaZe Clan will be a tough task to take but will be a good test moving forward.

FNS and the Future

FNS would give a statement on HLTV.org, speaking on his time with Cloud9 and beyond:

I’m very happy to announce that I’ll be stepping in as the In game leader for eUnited. Not competing for the past 2-3 months has been difficult but refreshing in a sense. It gave me time to reflect on everything that went wrong with C9 but I’m happy they found a lineup they’re confident in. As for me, I couldn’t be more motivated up to get back in the server and play with this group of talented players. This game has been my life for the past 4 years and I can’t wait to show everyone what this team is capable of.

I have the complete respect of every player/coach on this team and so far, the organization has shown me nothing but love. That’s all any player can ask for & I’m grateful for this opportunity. For all the people who have consistently supported me, whether that be family, friends, fans, ex-teammates, whoever, I really do appreciate it. Over the last couple of months, I’ve received tons of positive messages and I’m genuinely thankful for that.

Hopefully, FNS can find more success in his future with eUnited. Hopefully, he can bounce back and end his 2018 year on a good note with his new team.
