If you wish to build support quickly between your character and others in Fire Emblem Engage, gifts are the way to go. Each character has their likes and dislikes, so here is a guide to help you determine which gift is best for each character in Fire Emblem Engage. There is a list of all playable characters below, so minor spoilers ahead.

Some gifts are good for everyone

Generally, even with everyone’s likes and dislikes, there are some gifts that are good to give to anybody to help build support. For example, two of these great all-around gifts are the Pretty Pebble and Spirit Gem. But, on the other side, everyone dislikes Horse Manure, for a pretty self-explanatory reason. Even if some characters might react to it more positively than others, it’ll only hinder your time building support with them.

When it comes to getting gifts in Fire Emblem Engage, there is a couple of ways to get them. Sometimes, you can find gifts as pickup items both in Somniel and after combat. However, the easiest way to get gifts for your allies is from the Flea Market. However, this area of the Somniel is only unlocked partway through the story mode, despite it being essentially a shop for gifts only. With the Flea Market and knowledge of what characters like, you can easily build supports in Fire Emblem Engage.

Ally Notebook very useful for gift hunting

Finally, the best way to quickly check what items are good or bad for characters is the Ally Notebook. After talking to them a little and developing support, each character will eventually have a page of their likes and dislikes.
