The 2018 FIFA World Cup is in full swing as this week marks the end of the group stage. As a result, FIFA 18 has introduced new features to the game relating to the World Cup. Included in these updates are new Man of the Match (MOTM) cards. In addition to the new cards, FIFA 18 recently added the Festival of FUTball team of the matchdays.

For each round of the World Cup, we will be providing you with a full list of the Man of the Match cards from that round, so check back regularly. Since the group stage has concluded, we now present you with the first edition of FIFA 18’s new World Cup MOTM cards.

FIFA 18 MOTM World Cup cards

Below you will find a complete list of all MOTM World Cup cards featured in Ultimate Team. The players are listed in order of individual matchdays. To date, there have been 15 matchdays.

It is worth noting that these MOTM cards are selected by EA. In most cases, the players selected for “man of the match” received the award in real life. In other cases, the player chosen by EA is picked based off of their grading system. MOTM cards have become a fan favorite for Ultimate Team players, as players who dawn the orange (or in the case of the World Cup, blue) cards have considerably better statistics, as you can see below.
