On the same day as the NA VALORANT Challengers league starts off in 2023, FaZe Clan have revealed their roster for the VCT 2023 season. Casters and fans talked about how late this announcement was, but it came to light just in time. Both Kevin “poised” Ngo and Andrej “babybay” Francisty remain signed, while some other faces return.

Here is the new FaZe Clan VALORANT roster, debuting in Challengers for 2023.
- Andrej “babybay” Francisty
- Kevin “poised” Ngo
- Quan “dicey” Tran
- Phat “supamen” Le
- Daniel “Rossy” Abedrabbo
The first four members are all formerly of FaZe Clan, all coming back from 2022. The core that FaZe used to get third at both 2022 NA Stage 2 Challengers and the Last Chance Qualifier is back for 2023. Babybay is still a duelist capable of leading his team into the top tiers of NA VALORANT, with poised, dicey and supamen all fitting alongside him well.
This brings us to the only new signing for FaZe Clan for 2023. Rossy, formerly of TSM, is primarily an initiator player, known for his Skye and KAY/O. He fits the FaZe roster well from a role standpoint, but his success in 2022 was limited in comparison to how the rest of the FaZe roster did. Now, he fills in the hole that Xavier “flyuh” Carlson left, with the goal of beating other Challengers teams to get to Ascension.
FaZe Clan’s future
To put it simply, the fact that FaZe Clan kept their roster mostly similar to 2022 is good for their future. That roster has a lot of synergies, and when on peak form, could challenge some of the best teams in NA. Now they do have a roster change, but just one player. In that case, it’s similar to another team with limited success in 2022: The Guard.
Both teams have very talented players who can frag out and win games single-handedly. But, their success in 2023 revolves around how they can fit in their new talent and hit the same strides as they did in 2022. For FaZe Clan, Rossy as the initiator is something that is crucial to make work in the aggressive playstyle that FaZe is known for. Only time will tell if FaZe can make it all work and compete for Ascension.
