In week one of the Valve RMR event – Flashpoint 3 – FaZe, Fnatic, and OG have already been eliminated. On the flip side, DBL Poney and BIG looked great in their first matches.

FaZe fail to deliver once again

On paper, FaZe Clan’s CS:GO team should be the best in the world. With legendary players Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken and Marcelo “coldzera” David, along with long-time IGL Finn “karrigan” Andersen, there is almost no reason the team shouldn’t be squashing everyone in their way. But, after losing to G2 and Sprout’s new roster, FaZe has once again been knocked out of a tournament without winning a series. With over a month until their next tournament, FaZe will hopefully Bootcamp to work on their team play.

Dev1ce’s debut match in Flashpoint 3 Ruined

With Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz recently signing to NiP, his debut match on the roster was set to be against Anonymo. But, according to NiP and dev1ce, the team was experiencing packet loss of up to 40%. With such high packet loss, the team eventually lost 2-1. However, NiP has successfully gotten Flashpoint to reschedule their match against Anonymo, making several pro players angry.

“Actual craziness. Can’t believe They are trying to get that match replayed LMFAO. If NiP had a problem at the time then DONT PLAY or find a solution at the time,” tweeted Team Liquid player Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski.

In the past, if a team or player had technical issues that the teams couldn’t resolve, they’d refuse to play or play through it and not complain. However, NIP continued on playing after FACEIT couldn’t fix the issue and successfully overturned the ruling of the match.

DBL the best French team in the world?

DBL Poney is a two-month-old team consisting of reject French players. After beating Havu in the closed qualifier, DBL Poney was set to take on the number one French team and one of the best teams in the world: Team Vitality. However, the results were not as expected. Thomas “Djoko” Pavoni led the Poneys with kills as they thrashed Vitality with scorelines of 16-5 and 16-7 for quick 2-0.

Next Week of Flashpoint

Week two of Flashpoint 3 will start on Wednesday, May 19 with DBL Poney taking on Astralis and BIG playing Mousesports. Games for week two will wrap on Saturday, May 22. As of now, the NiP vs. Anonymo rematch has not been scheduled.
